Prevent and Treat Crow's Feet With These 9 Tips

Learning how to prevent and treat crow’s feet is one of the top skin care concerns of women. Those little wrinkles that start to form on the outer corners of your eyes are often inevitable, but they can be treated! Some people take meticulous care of their skin and still see these laugh lines, where others barely use any sunscreen and are line-free! If you’re bothered by the sight of crow’s feet, take a look at these nine simple tips that can help you prevent and treat crow’s feet! [Source: AllWomenStalk.com]

1. Stop Squinting
Before we get into how to treat crow’s feet, let’s talk about one of the top ways we get those pesky wrinkles in the first place! According to dermatologist Dr. Neal Schultz, smiling, squinting and sleeping are the top three ways we get crow’s feet. We don’t want to cut back on smiling so we have to nip the squinting in the bud! Wear sunglasses, and if you need corrective lenses, get some prescription contacts or glasses ASAP!

2. Sleep Smart
The other culprit in crow’s feet per Dr. Schultz was sleeping. It’s not actually sleeping that can lead those little crinkles but the way we sleep. Sleeping on your back can help eliminate lines from the creases on your pillow but if you just can’t sleep on your back, Schultz recommends using a U-shaped travel pillow or using a satin pillowcase.

3. Moisturize
Another way to prevent crow’s feet is to keep up the moisture levels in your body. Do this by drinking plenty of water and using hydrating creams on your face and eye area. Our skin sometimes gets dried out from lack of water or hydration, and as a result we get fine lines and wrinkles. Drink water and use creams that contain retinoids, copper peptides and alpha hydroxy acids.

4. Peels
If you already have crow’s feet and are looking for a simple treatment to treat those bad boys, try a chemical peel. You can get this peel done at a medical spa or doctor’s office, and it removes layers of dead skin so you’re left with fresh, radiant skin. You can also try a glycolic peel, which is also effective. However, they take some recovery time so it’s something to take into consideration.

5. Grapes
Did you know that you can find grapes on the ingredient list of many anti-aging skin care products? Grapes contain antioxidants, vitamins, phytonutrients and phytochemicals. All of these elements help protect and nourish our skin so it looks its best. Try mashing a handful of green grapes and applying the juice with a cotton ball on the eyes, mouth and forehead area. Rinse it off after 5 minutes and repeat it 2-3 times weekly to help reduce fine lines!

6. Egg Whites
Another natural and easy at-home method to treat crow’s feet is to use an egg white mask. Egg whites can tighten the skin and help reduce the appearance of crow’s feet. All you need is the egg white from one egg! Apply the egg white to a clean face and leave it on for about 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water. You’ll be left with tighter pores and firmer skin!

7. Take Breaks
An important tip to prevent crow’s feet is to give your eyes a break! If you sit in front of a computer all day, be sure to give your eyes hourly breaks and consider getting a screen filter to reduce glare. Also, if you use an e-reader often, make sure you watch the light conditions. Anything that can strain your eyes can cause crow’s feet so it’s important to stay on top of these things!

8. Stop Smoking
I know, you’ve heard it a million times but smoking not only robs your skin of collagen and elastin, the smoke can also cause you to squint, which is a big no-no! If you needed another reason to quit, do it for the sake of your skin! Every cigarette you smoke, you’re losing valuable collagen and elastin so as hard as it might be, it’s definitely worth it to quit!

9. Botox
The most permanent fix to treat crow’s feet is Botox. If you’ve tried eye creams, peels and other natural remedies and they’re just not doing it for you, Botox could be a good option. Dr. Neal Schultz states that Botox can be used as a preventive treatment and a way to treat existing crow’s feet. Talk to your doctor or dermatologist if you want a more permanent solution to crow’s feet.

Say Goodbye to Lip Lines and Hi To Juvederm

Kissable lips are among the long list of beauty desires all women want. And it's no secret that plump lips are synonymous with kissable. But, as we age, lines can start to form that make our once plump lips look flat. Luckily, there are things we can do to both prevent and repair those lines! Originally posted on NewBeauty.com, here are five things you can do to get kissable lips.

Everyone likes to pucker up from time to time, but that pursing motion-along with aging, collagen and elastin loss-can cause those tiny vertical lines to develop across the top of your upper lip. Not only do these lines make you look older, but they also cause your lipstick to bleed beyond your lips. However, you can keep these fine lines at bay or diminish them if they've started to appear. Here's how:

Stop smoking: The continual pursing of your lips, along with the cellular damage smoking causes, will break down the collagen that keeps your lips looking soft and supple.

Moisturize and exfoliate: The sun and other environmental elements will cause your lips to dry out, so be sure to use a lip balm regularly that includes ingredients like honey or hyaluronic acid. You'll also want to slough away dry skin with a gentle lip exfoliator once a week.

Go for nudes: If you like a glossy finish to your lips, choose nude shades that complement your skin tone, since darker tones are more apt to emphasize the lines. Play up your eye makeup, instead.

Resurface the skin: You can target those tiny lines with fractional lasers, dermabrasion or chemical peels in various strengths, depending on how pronounced your lines have become. Pigmentation changes may be an issue for the sensitive skin around your lips after a laser or peel treatment, so be sure to discuss this with your dermatologist.

Fill in lines: Fillers injected, like Juvederm, into the lips must be done with the utmost care to avoid overly filled or “duck” lips. Be sure to seek out a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in filling lips so that you can smooth the lines and achieve a natural look for your lips. Your physician may also suggest a small injection of a neurotoxin such as Botox, or Dysport to lessen the muscle movement that can cause the lines to form.

Flowers and chocolate? No, thanks! 78% of women want BOTOX for Valentine's Day

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, men are picking their brains over the perfect way to say 'I love you'.

•    78% of women say they'd be impressed if partner bought them Botox

•    But 7% would be offended

•    Dermal fillers and botox topped most lusted-after gift list

•    Women don't want laser hair removal or skin tightening

But forget wilting flower bouquets, cringey chocolates and kitschy teddy bears, because most women have only one gift on their hit list this year.

Nearly 80 per cent of women want Botox as their present this February - with 78 per cent saying they'd be 'impressed' if their partner treated them to it, according to research.

When researchers asked women how they'd feel if their partner bought them botox, 78 per cent said they'd be impressed, 15 per cent said they would be mildly pleased yet concerned, and the remaining seven per cent said they would be slightly offended or not happy.

The study also looked at which cosmetic treatments women would like to receive for Valentine's Day - with dermal filler, botox and tooth whitening topping the list.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, women would hate to receive - men, are you paying attention? - laser hair removal, skin tightening and leg vein removal this year.

Men have even been scouring the net for advice, with one cosmetic surgery and treatment review website seeing a rise in enquiries from loved-up men seeking advice on whether they should respond to their partners' anti-ageing concerns.

New research reveals the number one question from men was: 'Which aesthetic treatments can I give as a Valentine’s Day gift without offending her?'.

Speaking about the results, a spokesperson for Good Surgeon Guide, who carried out the study, said: 'While our general opinion is that gifting cosmetic surgery or aesthetic treatments is not good idea, it cannot erase the fact that people still feel compelled to give and receive them.

You may be surprised with the amount of women who would rather get BOTOX for Valentine's Day than chocolate and flowers. If you're one of those women, or looking for a gift for one, check out BOTOX Tampa today.

'We recommend that men who choose to give cosmetic treatments for Valentine's must understand how the gift may make their partner feel, especially if it's a surprise.

'If at all possible, it's best to speak with their partner about the treatment and make sure it is something they want.'
